Founded in 2003, the Alianca Brasileira - The Brazilian Alliance is a nonpartisan and nonprofit community based organization dedicated to advancing and improving the well-being and quality of life of Brazilians living in the United States. The organization's main programs are: Leadership Development through Training and Education, Community Organizing, Advocacy, Support Groups, and a variety of Education / Culture Programs for children and families including: Youth Violence Prevention through Artistry (Capoeira, Pintando o 7 and EDUC-ART) at ABE for children ages 1 to 10.

	Capoeira Art/Dance Classes
	Aliança Brasileira na Capoeira Fabiano Lucas, a Capoeira Dance Instructor has been practicing this art form for 14 years, as he started learning when he was about 13 years old. For many years he studied and also taught under his Capoeira Master in his home town Braganca Paulista in the state of São Paulo (where has was three times regional champion and twice state champion), until he received an invitation to come to America to teach and perform his art of Capoeira with the mission of exposing other people to his culture, while preserving all its tradition! Esmabama	Portuguese and Brazilian Communities join hands to help mission in Africa
See pics of project - Click here	In recent visit to Parkville, father Polleto from Mozamique, Africa introduced to members of the Aliança along with father Jorge from the Porutuguese community his ESMABAMA project that INVOLVES THE ANCIENT CATHOLIC MISSION of the local Mozambique communities Estaquinha,Barada, Machanga, e Mangunde. During recent cyclone, much of the work was destroyed with the flooding and the main necessities for the mission are bunk beds and mosquito nets, teacher's housing, a new health center, food for students, and patients of the health Center, milk for the children badly nourished, medicines.
