Brazilian pride and joy, artist José Paulo launches New Type of Show to the public

The amazing voice of José Paulo deliveries "Rio SAMBA Show" to the public

ressaca_carnavalHARTFORD, CT, — José Paulo will be demonstrating his versatility and Brazilian traditions with a vibrant, exciting, and fun show, called "Rio SAMBA Show".  This show will be filled with music and entertainment that will enable you to experience the rhythm, the dancing, the energy and happiness often seen during Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

José Paulo and his Band, the Brazilian Jazz Band will transform themselves to present the "Rio SAMBA Show".  This show will be one of a kind and it will permit you to enjoy the Brazilian tradition of Carnaval from Rio de Janeiro.  To add to the show; Eric Galm & The Trinity Samba Ensemble, Exotic Brazilian Samba dancers and Dancing in the City Group will also join in.  This show is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Polish National Home, Inc., 60 Charter Oak Avenue, Hartford, CT doors open at  8PM.

José Paulo is well known throughout the U.S.A and Canada in the Brazilian, Latin and American Communities for his special gift to sing Brazilian Jazz, Classical and Romantic Songs in English, Portuguese and Spanish.  José Paulo was inspired and invited by Eric Galm from Trinity College to join him and his class in presenting the samba rhythms and dancing of Brazil in the "Samba Fest" (www.sambafest.com) for the last two years. Samba is in José Paulo's blood, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and participant of Carnival group "Salgueiro School of Samba", he had no problem in accepting the invitation and now has incorporated this new type of show "Rio SAMBA Show" into his repertoire. Eric Galm, professor at Trinity College calls the "Rio SAMBA Show", "enjoyable, lots of versatility that spanned the popular and operatic realms, he and his team members were well suited to draw the energy and excitement of the music that he grew up with as a youth in Rio, his voice reminded me of some 1950's-style samba recordings".  The "Rio SAMBA Show" for the last two years has also provided the ambience and music to captive the audience at the BRAYCE Fund Raising Event, Samba Rio, Chester Winter Carnival, (www.BRAYCE.org).  . Richard Calder, Vice president of BRAYCE Organization summed up the event by saying "José Paulo’s group played a variety of traditional Brazilian Carnival songs as well as Bossa Nova that excited the attendees.  Delighted revelers were encouraged and coached to participate in singing favorite Carnival and Bossa Nova songs and to learn and demonstrate their skills and prowess dancing the Samba. Many said it was the liveliest Samba Rio in recent years."

José Paulo has shown his charisma and talent in various events organized by The Brazilian Alliance (www.aliancabrasileira.org), including the annual Brazilian Independence Day Celebration and the Flag Raising civic ceremony at the CT State Capitol. Abigail Amorim, director of  The Brazilian Alliance has known Jose Paulo for many years. “She is extremely proud to have Jose Paulo represent her country’s culture, tradition and music so graciously.”
